Memers photoshopped the Iceland rabbi refugee headline
The meme brigade resorts to faking evidence to fit their theories.
Someone needs to expose these meme-liars and nobody else is doing it, so I am forced to.
I wrote an article a month ago about how Iceland, declared by many organizations as the most socially liberal country in Europe, arrived at those policies overwhelmingly by the hands of Icelandic people themselves.
And now I’ve found confirmation that the meme-brigade faked their “Icelandic rabbi wants more refugees” headline that they spam on X.
The rabbi himself refuted it on X:
Even if this lie were true, it changes very little about the fact that Iceland became liberal long before the arrival of this rabbi in 2018. The rabbi may well be liberal and support refugees, but that article is fake, he did not call for that immediately upon arrival in Iceland. Whether he supports refugees or not, inventing a fake news story about it only undermines legitimate criticism of real Jewish leftists.
Moreover, in this article about refugees and Iceland we see that all the heads of Iceland’s major political parties are themselves demanding more refugees. Icelandic citizens set up a Facebook group demanding the government take in 5,000 refugees, which got 8,000 likes.
The article quotes the heads of most major political parties calling for more refugees to be taken in:
“Countries like Iceland should step up and help”
Icelandic Minister for Social Affairs and Housing, Eygló Harðardóttir, has officially stated that she is in favour on taking in more refugees. While not setting a specific figure, she stressed that she did not want to see a cap on numbers. She also urged all Icelanders to make a contribution towards assisting refugees in Iceland.
Elín Hirst, MP for Iceland’s Independence Party (‘Sjálfstæðisflokkurinn’), one of the two parties in the governing coalition, goes further and describes the government’s current contribution, i.e. fifty refuges, as “shameful”.
“Countries like Iceland should step up and help,” writes Hirst in a Facebook status. “I shall be bringing up the matter in Parliament and within the parliamentary party.” As regards numbers, she simply says, “Maybe ten times more [i.e. 500] would be nearer the mark.”
Independence Party leader and Icelandic Finance Minister, Bjarni Benediktsson, echoes Iceland’s responsibility to help but is more circumspect when it comes to setting a figure.
“We must assess what we can do in light of the great hardship we are seeing, and those agencies and ministries involved must address the issue immediately,” he indicates.
Iceland’s Bright Future Party (‘Björt framtíð’) has urged the government to review its currently plans and greatly increase the number of refugees to be received by Iceland.
Every one of those people petitioning for more refugees is Icelandic. The Lutheran Church of Iceland has an actual program to resettlement, take care of and assimilate immigrants and refugees in Iceland:
As you can see, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Iceland (ELCI) is providing direct financial aid, language lessons and legal aid to refugees and immigrants. One of the priests leading that effort is a Japanese immigrant and cited his immigrant background as a motive to support other immigrants:
The organization is run by these people:
So why is it that we never see an X post from one of these memers about the Lutheran Church backing refugees or Icelandic politicians and people themselves who have called for it and worked towards implementing it directly through the government? Why do they need to fake a headline about a rabbi who arrived in 2018, when clearly the leftist policies of Iceland were and are implemented by Icelandic people?
This is a clear case of in-group preferential bias on the part of White nationalists. They are loathe to admit that, in many cases, non-Jewish Whites themselves have done the heavy lifting in forwarding leftist agendas and policies in Europe. The WN doesn’t want to say that because it makes him feel better to view himself and his in-group as the victim of an “outsider” group who forced it all upon his country without consent.
It is a convenient lie that many WNs are using to create a simplistic explanation for the downfall of Western civilization.
Nobody wants more refugees. Some people like the idea, but no human actually likes the experience of being surrounded by strangers.
Yes, it was confirmed fake. More interesting is how a guy who looks like a drowned rat married a cutie.
