If that is so why were they unable to just call up the politicians and have them banned before the Bondi shooting? They had been asking for that and didn't get it. Australia has had hate speech laws on the books for years. This latest round is only strengthening what already existed and was an initiative of the Labour Party following the Bondi shooting. Not only that, but the group disbanded on its own accord before the legislation was passed. Jews do not have the power to just call up the prime minister and have them ban a group. And that's not what happened here.
They haven't done that. The group was not banned and despite Jewish pleas to ban it for years, it remained unbanned. ALL minority groups are supporting these new laws, not only Jews. It is a coalition of minorities and White liberals like those running the Labour Party who are doing this, not exclusively Jews making people do things they don't want to do. Albanese is not doing anything he doesn't want to do. He opposes Nazism on ideological grounds as do all White progressive liberals. Jewish liberals are merely a portion of the progressive left. They can't do anything alone.

Even if there were zero Jews in Australia, White liberals and progressives and even civnats would vigorously oppose Nazism regardless and most of the Labour Party leaders are indeed White liberals.
